Renters must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license. Boating experience is helpful, but we do provide training the day of your rental and have additional training tools and links on our website. All potential drivers must be present when picking up your rental. Do not forget about the new MN boater laws!

Yes, all rentals require a signed contract by an adult age 21 or older. A copy of the agreement will also be provided to you for your records. Contracts can be completed in advance if we know who may be operating the boat.

Yes. A 35% non-refundable deposit is required at booking. This goes toward your total due at the time of drop-off.

Your card information will be recorded the day of the rental, in case of damages. Renters are responsible for any physical damage that occurs during the rental period. Damage is rare and can typically be avoided by using the provided equipment properly, following basic safety guidance, and operating the boat responsibly.

Boats are always clean and full of fuel at the beginning of your rental. Renters pay for the fuel used, however, we can top if off for you when you return. There are several locations on the Whitefish Chain that also sell fuel and we will provide more details the day of your rental.

Yes, but space is limited on the boat, so be realistic on what is needed. We do ask that you limit it to 1-2 coolers, 48 quart or less. Larger coolers are not allowed since they take up too much space, cut into the weight capacity and can cause damage as they shift around the boat. Drivers may not drink alcohol.

Yes, everyone must have a properly sized lifejacket. Children less than 10 years of age are required to wear life jackets aboard watercraft in Minnesota when the craft is under way. We strongly recommended all kids wear them along with adults who are not strong swimmers. Each boat will have lifejackets to meet the capacity. Ski vests up to 3X are available at no charge and are required for all ages when on a towable (tube, skis, wakeboard, kneeboard, etc). Kids’ lifejackets are sized as follows: 0-30lbs, 30-50lbs & 50-90lbs. Please let us know the day of your rental if kids’ vests or ski vests need to be added to your boat.

A 30-day written cancellation notice is required with up to a $150 cancellation fee. No refunds on cancellations within 30-days, however high winds or rain-outs will be taken into consideration. Weather-related cancelations are determined the actual day of the rental since conditions and forecasts change.
Weather Policy: Keep in mind when making your reservations that weather does not always cooperate. If it’s not an ideal day for boating (overcast, drizzle, spotty showers, cooler temps, windy, partial day thunderstorms with clearing for half the day or more) but i considered safe boating conditions this is the day you chose knowing this would be the case and your reservation will continue to be confirmed for that day. For days that are not safe for boating for over half of the day, credit will be considered (if dates available for both parties) for a different weekday rental at a later date.
